HTML standards & stuff

Have recently finally got around to switching to Firefox from IE, and I've been wondering why the 'alt' text of an image doesn't show up when I hover my mouse over it. I've now found out the answer. Apparently, you're supposed to use the 'title' property to do this and not 'alt' at all, and it's IE that's not compliant with the W3C standards (though they do use title if a title is present, and only use alt if no title has been entered). Guess I'm gonna have to start adding title attributes to my images from now on.
