The fact that I have a lot of fun things going on over the next few days may also have played a part. Tomorrow afternoon I have my actuarial 'graduation' ceremony at Staple Inn in the City of London. My parents are currently on holiday in Israel, so my parents-in-law will be attending in their stead. There are about 30 people qualifying this session, and we get tea afterwards. I still haven't worked out what I'm going to wear - I tried on the blouse I'd had in mind for it this morning and it gaped slightly, so that won't do.
Got my hair cut at lunchtime though as I decided the growing-it-out thing wasn't working for me (basically I was just wearing it in a ponytail for work, and not really knowing what to do with it at weekends, and it was generally flat-looking, and becoming more troublesome to wash). It's back to its old bob, though I'm still playing with the idea of taking it shorter than that at some point.
Friday afternoon I have my second ultrasound scan, and then Saturday I'm taking part in a volunteer gardening project locally during the day, and then going to atreic and emperor's wedding reception ceilidh in the evening, which I'm very much looking forward to - lots of people it'll be great to catch up with. Haven't decided what I'm wearing for that, either. I've got the green dress I wore to mirabehn and mostlyacat's wedding, but it's a bit long for prolonged dancing in. I've got a lovely navy blue circle-skirt that might also do, but no suitably 'dressy' top to go with it. Might nip down to Oxford Street tomorrow evening after the actuarial stuff, and see if anything takes my fancy.
