Postbox Fairy

Embarrassing reading material

Have never really enjoyed trashy adult fiction (other than Flowers in the Attic), so I think when wanting a brain rest, trashy children's fiction is the way to go. Apart from anything else it's a lot shorter, and doesn't include laughable sex scenes.

Over the past year I've been repurchasing the Enid Blyton Malory Towers series. They are *gasp* actually not that bad . Okay, so never great literature, but they do have characters who feel immediately familiar (in a good way), cunningly devised, and not that unfeasible plots, some genuinely funny moments, and a real sense of character development as the series continues.

Hmm...anyone know how you create those online quizzes? I feel a "which Malory Towers character are you?" coming on....
