More poetry

My first triolet for poetrychallenge (haven't posted it yet, as may yet revise before the deadline), and another poem which came out of writing it.

(and, yes, those titles do hint at a dash of quantum flavour in the mix - in the second poem especially)

Will put these up on my website soon, but our main computer is currently very ill (Matt spent most of Easter Monday on repeated attempts to reinstall Windows following fatal crashes) and although our secondary computer has internet access, it's not as nice to use (plus I'd have to download the file transfer software again, etc. etc.) so I'll wait awhile & see if we can sort out the main one.

Paranoia and Winnie the Pooh

Edit: This entry revealed to the public gaze 23 April 2003 18:40 pm

There should be a word for the paranoia experienced after offering up one's personal creation for public consumption, the fear that actually you've been deluding yourself and it's truly terrible. It isn't lessened by the fact that you may have received a positive reception to stuff you've done before. In fact it's almost increased, as you worry about being "found out", that maybe what you did to get the praise last time was just a fluke, and you don't know what you're doing at all, really.

I guess the closest thing is that quote from Winnie-the-Pooh, which is something like sometimes a thing which seemed very thingish inside your head can seem quite different when its out in the open and has other people looking at it.
