Could you get more blatant injustice?

Many of you will already have seen this on neonchameleon's or andrewwyld's journal, but for those who haven't: David Blunkett is trying to win an appeal to allow him to charge victims of miscarriages of justice for the cost of their living expenses in prison.

As Michael O'Brien (one man who's won an appeal against having to pay such a charge) points out "They don't charge guilty people for bed and board, they only charge innocent people"

Like neonchameleon, words fail me.
